V-One Vodka Strikes "Double Gold"
The Top Award at The World Spirit Competition
V-One Vodka receives top honors in prestigious Spirits Competition
HADLEY, MA - Valley Vodka, Inc, a Western Massachusetts-based company founded by Paul Kozub in the basement of his Hadley home, announces today that his V-One Vodka was honored with the highest award, the "Double Gold" Medal at the World Spirits Competition.
The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is a weekend of blind taste tests conducted by an expert panel of judges who award medals based solely on taste. The competition was held at the Nikko Hotel on March 13-14, 2010, and included over 1050 spirits from 56 countries and 6 continents around the world, making it the largest competition of its kind. For gaining top honors, V-One Vodka will be featured in the May issue of the Tasting Panel Magazine. Also, Paul will be traveling with the other Double Gold Medal winners in other categories for a 12-city tour for trade and media promotions.
"For V-One Vodka to be rated as the top vodka in the world is really kind of mind blowing," says Paul Kozub, owner and founder of Valley Vodka, Inc. "I started V-One with $6,000 and a dream of creating the world's most drinkable vodka, winning this award is very humbling."
Paul Kozub is one of the youngest founders of a Double Gold medal winning vodka. At the age of 27 Paul started crafting vodka in the basement of his Hadley, MA home. He did this as a way of honoring his recently deceased Polish grandfather and his entrepreneurial father. Two years later his V-One recipe was perfected at a world class distillery in Lublin Poland.
V-One is distributed throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut and is available in over 1000 bars, restaurants, and liquor stores.
